Like the proverbial kid in the sweet shop, I love discovering new international beauty brands or the latest launches from big names – all in the name of research for this page. Swatching new colours, testing the longevity of make-up buys and the efficacy of new skincare is all part of the job, so here are the next seven on my hit list to put through their paces this month.

Byoma

Liquid Sheet Mask, £16.99
BYOMA Bio-Collagen Liquid Sheet Mask 60ml Copy

A tri-ceramide complex to boost my skin barrier, bio-collagen to improve skin texture, plus Cica and Astaxanthin to soothe irritation – this peel off mask certainly has a promising formula for both instantly visible results as well as longer term skin health.

Fenty Hair

The Comeback Kid Instant Damage Treatment, £29
FENTY HAIR THE COMEBACK KID INSTANT DAMAGE TREATMENT

I love Fenty Beauty, so I’m all in for Ri Ri’s new haircare line. The central heating and wind-whipped beach walks have certainly stressed my tresses this winter, so I’m hoping this reparative formula, powered by the brand’s proprietary Replenicore-5, will smooth my split ends and nourish my ends back to life.

Luna Daily

The Everywhere Wash, £19
Luna Daily The Everywhere Wash Jasmine & Ylang Ylang Copy

I’m adding this to my gym bag as I want to be more mindful of the body products I use. This pH- and microbiome-balancing wash is gentle and designed for sensitive and intimate skin. With vitamins and omegas to nourish and strengthen skin, it won’t strip or compromise our natural skin flora.

La Roche Posay

Anthelios UVAir Serum Sunscreen, £27
La Roche Posay Anthelios UVAIR Serum Sunscreen SPF50+ Medium With Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide & Vitamin E, For All Skin Types,

I am that beauty editor bore that tells you you need to wear SPF50 every – yes, even in the depths of winter. This one is next on my list to try. I love that it has a boost of skincare ingredients, as well as a tint of colour (fine for me, but not a massive shade range). It ticks a lot of my morning routine steps in one, so we’ll see how it performs, but it looks promising.

Natasha Denona

HY-BLUSH, £38
Natasha Denona HY-BLUSH Copy

I love Natasha Denona’s eyeshadow palettes – the dinky sizes and precise edit of shades mean there’s no wasted space in your make-up bag. So I’m intrigued to try this ‘gel-to-powder’ texture blusher duo, which is for giving winter skin back some serious glow.

Caudalie

Dark Spot Correcting Glycolic Night Cream, £39
Caudalie Vinoperfect Dark Spot Correcting Glycolic Night Cream 50ml Copy

I’m determined to tackle my sun pigmentation. And, while topical treatments need consistency and patience (compared to laser or derm-level peels that can fade it fast), I have high hopes for not just improved dark spots, but for a glow-boost too from this Caudalie formula.

Ouai

Ibiza Fragrance Mist, £26
OUAI Ibiza Fragrance Mist 97ml Copy

This cheap-as-chips fragrance mist is just the olfactory boost we could all use in February. Coconut-scented, sun-warmed limbs are a distant summer memory that this scent reawakens in a spritz. With warming amber, spiced rum and gourmand vanilla and tonka bean, it balances the sensual with the sweet, all layered with a hint of spice.
