How many categories can I enter?

We recommend that you enter a site or app into up to three categories. You can of course enter more than three categories but you will need to make two submissions.

How will I know that my entry has been accepted?

After you have submitted your entry, you will receive an email, giving you a nominee logo and People's Choice voting logo. If for some reason this does not arrive, please email customerservices@thegoodwebguide.co.uk.

When is the closing date?

The closing date is 11.59 p.m. Sunday 17th September 2023.

How does the judging process work?

Entries are subjected to preliminary judging, category by category, from which selected sites will progress to a shortlist. A category shortlist is then presented to the panel of judges, who will choose a winner per category.

Once the category winners have been established, the judging panel will choose one overall winner, The GWG Website of the Year, People's Choice, The GWG App of the Year, The GWG Podcast of the Year and GWG Content Creator of the Year.

What are the judging criteria?

Please see the following page covering this.

What is The People's Choice?

Entries in this category are judged purely on the response from their customers/clients who vote for them. The judges play no part in this category. The voting takes place during a specified time and the site that receives the most votes, wins the People's Choice category. For more details on how the voting works, click here.

When is the shortlist announced?

The GWG aims to publish this in early October 2023 but this date may change. The GWG will keep all entrants informed of the proposed date.

If my site is shortlisted, what happens next?

The GWG will send you an email, with supporting logos that you can display on your site/social media platforms.

What do I get if my site is a category winner?

Category winners receive a digital logo that they can display on their site, plus editorial exposure on The Good Web Guide.

What do I get if my site is made The GWG Website of the Year?

The winning site will receive a number of prizes, details of which will be announced in due course.
