Whether you want a cosy cabin, a soak in a hot tub or a shepherd’s hut with sea views, we’ve sought out Classic Glamping’s finest couples’ retreats.
ASHLEY’S SHACK

A woodland hideaway with views over a pretty lake in Devon, this whitewashed cabin lends itself to serious relaxation. Special treats include a wood-burner and the box of locally made goodies that greets you on arrival.
COPPERAS SHEPHERDS HUT

Perched on the north Devon coast, this hand-built shepherd’s hut has sea views and all the mod cons you could wish for (including wifi). Inside is a feat of space-saving design; outside, there’s a lovely fire pit to hang out by.
OLD ORCHARD CABIN

With its glorious views, wood-fired hot tub and ridiculously comfortable interior, you won’t ever want to leave Old Orchard Cabin. Prepare for an intensely peaceful time, punctuated by owls hooting and swallows swooping.
FORGET ME NOT

This beautifully done shepherd’s hut is just a 15-minute walk from Praa Sands beach in Cornwall. Everything is so well thought through that it has its own beach hut containing a walk-in shower and space for towels and walking boots.
HUXHAM HIDEAWAY

Now this one is cool. From the outside, it looks like the (smartly painted) industrial container that it is. Inside, however, is all chic metro tiles, cool light fittings and an extremely pleasing Nespresso machine. Dogs are welcome, too.
LAMBS TALE SHEPHERDS HUT

Bright, rural and restful, this hut – situated on a working farm in Somerset – is a luxury camper’s dream. The defiantly urban among you will be grateful for the underfloor heating, wifi and DVD player.
