Bee Osborn is an internationally acclaimed, multi-award-winning interior designer. Based in the idyllic Cotswolds, her projects span from residential right through to luxury hotels and even, on occasion, private yachts. Having cut her teeth in property development as a means of supporting her then-small children, two decades later she is the principal designer at the renowned eponymous Studio Osborn, as well as having founded Osborn Interiors, which sells the decorative pieces that have proved most coveted over the years.

Here she tells us how social media allowed her to meet her heroine and why it is imperative never to compare oneself.

The Internet: on balance, a force for good or ill?

One hundred per cent good. You can run your life from the Internet and it makes it all so effortless. The only thing I don’t like is the emotional fallout on social media, which can make some people feel less than others. Especially teenagers. I try very hard not to compare myself to people and I tell my girls to do the same.
