Following a year of Covid restrictions, and for a lot of us many months of working from home, loungewear was the dress code of 2020. Though just as relevant in 2021, perhaps an update is in order as Spring arrives, lockdown is gradually easing and the magnolia trees are in bloom.

Time to turn off the heating and adjust our nightwear for the warmer months ahead, take out those looser nighties and cooler cotton and linen fabrics.

After working as a stylist for 10 years, Barbara McMillan spotted a gap in the market when she was unable to find a classic striped pyjama set with an exceptional fit and an affordable price, so she decided to make one. British sleepwear brand Honna London was launched in 2019.

All considerably manufactured at a family-run factory, the company are not launching new prints or styles every few months, but instead sticking with timeless styles that last. They are conscious to use only trusted suppliers and the fabric dyes are carefully selected to ensure the best and safest result.

Resulting in a considered collection of striped cotton pyjamas in seven colourways, the goal was to create incredibly comfortable sets that are oversized but super flattering.

My favourite is the Green stripe set (which also comes in navy and red).

Short sets and nightshirts include pink, beige and powder blue.
