29 Romantic Voluminous Pieces Inspired By Cecilie Bahnsen
Waft around your house in fashion’s hands-down prettiest look this season.
Spring/Summer 2020 is the season of Cecilie Bahnsen (ok, it’s also the season of lockdown, but we’re trying to look on the bright side here). And the Bahnsen-effect is a resoundingly positive one. For the Danish designer’s voluminous yet romantic dresses in delicate organza are everything we want: the fabric is beautiful, the shapes are pretty but never sickly sweet, and she manages to pull off sculptural without compromising on femininity. In short: dreamy.

We’re not the only ones to think so. The Cecilie Bahnsen aesthetic has launched a thousand emulative looks on the high street. We round up some of our favourites that are inspired by the Danish trailblazer, plus a few who’ve been carving out this path under their own steam for some time.
We may not be able to get out right now, but these are frocks that will cheer your mood inside (we’re all for dressing up for Saturday night dinner) and are such a delight that they’re sure to last well beyond this season – as, indeed, should all of our buys. Here’s our edit, which covers the high street to the high end.
