It’s no surprise that some of the world’s most famous female faces end up launching their own beauty brands. After all, they’ve had years-worth of access to the very best make-up artists, hairdressers and skincare treatments in the world. In 2021, there has been a flurry of launches, with more promised or hinted at in the pipeline. They include haircare from Jennifer Aniston, trailblazer of ‘The Rachel’, which is still, perhaps the most famous – and most aped – haircut of all time. Plus, the secret behind JLo’s glow is finally out the bag (clue: it’s got nothing to do with Ben Affleck). Meet the brands below and get the skinny on the launches still to come in 2022.

Jennifer Anniston: LolaVie

Jennifer Aniston

Although not available in the UK yet, Jennifer Anniston’s haircare brand, LolaVie, has been heralded stateside for its smart ‘science meets nature’ formulas since it launched in September. Rumours are that it will hit our shores in 2022. But until then you can get your beauty 'from the inside out’, with Jen’s other beauty interest, Vital Proteins, where she is chief creative officer; it promises to offer the highest-grade marine collagen supplements, with vegan options available, too. Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley: Rose Inc

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

After a successful make-up range for Marks & Spencer, supermodel Rosie Huntingdon-Whiteley has launched Rose Inc, available in the UK at Space NK. We’ve had a dabble and love the multi-use formulas and ethical credentials, with a small edit of skincare too. From refillable compacts to bamboo facial pads, the range offers a conscious, considered simplicity, with a ‘less is more approach’ to pared-back beauty. Shop it here.

Bobbi Brown: Jones Road

Jones Road

The original make-up artist beauty brand, along with contemporaries Francois Nars and Laura Mercier who all launched in the early nineties, Bobbi Brown eventually sold her eponymous line to Estée Lauder but stayed on for another two decades as creative director, only cutting the apron strings in 2016. This year, she has launched a brand-new line for the modern woman: Jones Road. A range of ‘no make-up make-up’, it has already won awards for its ‘clean, strategic, high-grade formulations' that work on every skin type and tone. Bobbi’s encyclopaedic knowledge of what works (and what sells) means there are no duds; just a sharp edit of skin-enhancing formulas with expert brushes and skincare too. It looks like she may just have done it again. Shop it here.

Jennifer Lopez: JLo Beauty

Jennifer Lopez- JLo Beauty

The secret’s out: JLo has revealed that her signature glow can be obtained by us mere mortals – without the need to remortgage. Apparently, it can be attributed to a rather humble ingredient: olive oil. Beloved by JLo and her mum, she took inspiration from the ‘five S’s’ when creating her glow-inducing skincare range: sleep, sunscreen, serum, supplements and ‘sano’’ (coming from the Spanish phase, vivir sano, meaning ‘to live healthily’). Far removed from the stuff in your kitchen cupboard, the range uses an olive complex consisting of squalane, fermented oil, olive leaf extract, and extra virgin olive oil to illuminate, brighten and hydrate. Explore the range here.
Available for shipping to the UK through Amazon.

Ellen DeGeneres: Kind Science

As she winds down her iconic chat show under a cloud of alleged on-set bullying, Ellen DeGeneres is ready to start a new chapter as she launches Kind Science, her inclusive ‘age positive skincare brand’ this autumn. We’re yet to see the full range but it’s billed as high performance, effective skincare that’s ‘skin kind, animal kind and eco kind’. A skincare range aimed at over 50s that talks of age-positivity is a step in the right direction – keep your eyes peeled from 26 October for the launch. Shop it here.

Pssst…. Hailey Bieber, Ariana Grande and Scarlett Johnson have also hinted that they will be bringing out beauty lines in 2022. Watch this space.
