Sometimes a trend surfaces that just makes you sigh with happiness and relief. The emergence of the flatform as the sandal of the summer is one such example. Cool and comfortable, it’s a style that gives the height boost we want but none of the discomfort of strappy high sandals – the latter of which are so off our radar that we’re glad to report we‘ve almost forgotten the accompanying agony. Wear the flatform with anything, from cropped jeans to frilly florals, or even to a wedding (when we’re allowed to go to those again, that is). Some are daintier than others; all are a joy. We favour a chunky example, worn with a feminine frock for balance. These are just a few of our favourites.
