Five sites that we think will change your world this April.

Spring is upon us. It’s time to pack away your gloves and scarves. It’s time for birdsong and buds on the trees. It’s time for growth and renewal in every sense. So, here we bring you five sites that will expand and enhance your world.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle chose Claire Ptak to bake the cake (a lemon and elderflower one, covered in buttercream icing and decorated with fresh flowers) for their wedding in May 2018. One look at her website, Violet Cakes, and you can see why. Ptak is the wildly talented food writer, stylist and chef-owner of the organic bakery and café in East London, Violet Cakes. Quite simply, everything she produces is perfect.

Set up by stylish duo Tina Lake and Amanda Vaughan-Lee, Bows & Arrows is a new website curating gorgeous fashion for babies and children. These ladies have come up with the ideal mixture of high-street brands (think heavenly pyjamas from H&M) and discovery pieces (think irresistible vintage striped jumpers from Scandi Mini). Warning: this site is hard to leave.

Matilda Goad oozes good taste. Whether she is styling a room, arranging flowers for a party or creating the homewares that she sells through this gorgeous website, she makes things look wonderful. With a pretty, floral aesthetic running through all of her work, she is the embodiment of spring.

Based in the US, Literary Hub brings us the very best of the literary internet. This site will add some valuable ballast to your perusing of the web. It is a treasure trove of literary news, book reviews, author interviews, excerpts and excellent suggestions for what you should be reading now.

This new British fashion brand is all about clean lines, high-quality fabrics and elegant designs. Creator Isabelle Waring named the label after her couture-trained seamstress grandmother. She says: “Each and every piece is perfected for the 21st century with modern, playful, yet classic styling.” It is all made in England and doesn’t cost the earth.
