Science shows we are healthier and emotionally wealthier when we are kind to others. In our ever increasing isolated, yet electronically connected, world we need to understand why kindness has the power to make us happier. Dr David Hamilton, author of ‘The Five Side Effects of Kindness’ carries this warning on his book; ‘Caution, this book will make you feel better, be happier and live longer.’ Check out Dr David Hamilton and discover why you should bring even more kindness into your life. And remember, you have to give first to receive.

Going to the gym for exercise is good, but exercise that connects you to nature is better. It is scientifically proven that walking in nature reduces heart disease, diabetes and increases a person’s level of happiness. Walking in nature produces beneficial brain chemistry for good health. In my book, I refer to this as getting a D.O.S.E of happiness. We are all responsible for taking action to increase our levels of Dopamine, Oxytocin, Serotonin and Endorphins. Walking with like-minded people will give you a super D.O.S.E. of happiness. Check out to find a fun walk to near you.

Gandhi’s words ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’ are close to my heart. I do my best to live true to my values and the actions I take are purely to make the world a better place. One of my favourite websites is Good Net where you will find many ideas how you can make the world, and your world, a better place. You will find inspiring ideas to be the change you want to see in the world.

Inspiration makes us feel alive, like we are here for a reason. Listening to inspiring stories is a great reminder of your possibilities to achieve the ideas you have in your head. If they serve the community well, then it is your responsibility to step up and manifest your ideas. Finding the courage to bring your dreams to life will provide you with untold fulfilment. The website tells stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. They are not millionaires, children of celebrities or born with a silver spoon in their mouth. They are people like you and me. Be prepared to be inspired, you will see people living with passion, purpose and true happiness.

Sometimes it seems we are living too distant from nature and we have become disconnected with modern living. I meet many people who would like to take back control of their life and reconnect to natural resources but don’t know what to do. This disconnection is causing them to feel vulnerable to society. However, taking positive action is empowering and when we feel empowered we always feel fulfilled and happy. I love the website for sharing ideas, tips and inspiring stories.
