Wimbledon 2019 fever: five of the best tennis apps to keep you updated throughout the fortnight of the year.

If you’re a certified tennis fan, Wimbledon – which runs from 1st July to 14th July this year – will be the highlight of your calendar. These apps will keep you up-to-date on scores, schedules and rankings via your phone or tablet.

The official Wimbledon app offers up orders of play, real-time results, live video and radio, match statistics and detailed player info. It tracks every ball hit during the Wimbledon Fortnight and is basically all you need to get in the mood – except, well, strawberries and cream.

Stay in touch with everything that you love about sport, using the FlashScore app. It brings you broad coverage, live scores, stats, match details, competition tables, and draws for about 30 sports, including tennis. It even has an “injured and suspended players” list!

The official live scoring app of the ATP World Tour and WTA lets you follow your favourite professional tennis players and tournaments in real-time throughout the season. Key features include live scores and match statistics, order of play, draws, rankings and player bios.

Unable to watch the match at the All England Tennis Club or on the big screen at home? Keep your eyes peeled to the TVCatchup app – at your desk, in the back of the car, on the train, in a meeting – instead. Multitasking? This is how to do it.

If all else fails, you can listen to BBC Radio 5’s brilliant Wimbledon coverage the iPlayer app. Listening to match commentary and the pop of tennis balls on the radio has a gorgeous old-school charm, we promise.
