Homes & Gardens

Interior Designers' Event

Held at Waterworks, King's Road, London on 4th July 2019.

We were delighted to host a brunch and panel talk at Waterworks in Chelsea at the beginning of July, highlighting the launch of this year’s Homes & Garden category in our Website of the Year Awards.

The panel consisted of leading industry experts and they discussed what it takes to deliver, hone and develop online strategies. Subjects included branding, content, SEO and social media; all the key ingredients for standing out in today’s ever-evolving digital market.

Panellists included Polly Williams of Camberyard Collective, interior design duo, Nicole Salvesen and Mary Graham of Salvesen Graham, Leanne Walstow, Editor of The List by House & Garden, SEO expert, Alex Minchin of Zest Digital and Hugo Rawlins of Rawlins George, a unique boutique-style agency offering a holistic approach to PR and marketing communications.

We were thrilled with this sold-out event and have received wonderful feedback about how informative the talk was. The following are some top tips from the panellists on creating that stunning (and award-winning) online presence.

Salvesen Graham

During the talk, consistency within and across platforms was a common theme. ‘It is important to have a coherent presence across all the digital platforms you are using.'

Waterworks brings impeccable style and artisanal quality craftsmanship to bathrooms, kitchens and discerning spaces worldwide, where every product tells a story.

Leanne Walstow of The List

Having a digital presence in the form of a website and social media is the quickest way of reaching a large, international and varied audience, so it’s well worth taking time to invest in great images, a sleek website and a consistent social presence.'

Alex Minchin of Zest Digital

Search engine optimisation (SEO) needs to be considered at the design stage. [If done right], it is undoubtedly one of the most effective drivers of sustainable high-intent traffic (and revenue) growth… depending on the role that you want it to play within your wider strategy.
