The origin story of British-Norwegian London-based jeweller Tilly Sveaas’ eponymous brand crosses continents and decades. Whilst its current fashion crowd-approved iteration was founded in 2016, in truth the seed took root more than twenty-five years ago while living in Bali when she first hit upon the idea of creating hand-crafted pieces constructed of ethically sourced materials. The golden thread yoking everything together? That each creation should embody her own free-spirited wanderlust.

Renowned for her links, chains and signature T-bar necklaces, Sveaas has, in under a decade, cultivated a devoted following and garnered coverage in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Forbes, The Times and The New York Times. Affordable, accessible and designed to be worn solo or layered, her pieces reinterpret antique jewellery – traditionally crafted in solid gold – by democratising them through gold plate, silver and hand-made brass.

Here, Tilly shares the five things she holds most dear.

Mitty

MITTY Tilly Sveaas 1

My shadow, who follows me everywhere and is never far from my lap: Mitty, my little miniature 11-year-old dachshund, who runs the office and is my absolute baby.

Olly

My world. Not to sound like some awful smug couple, but we literally have the best time together doing everything, and I absolutely love him.

Silver Stack

SILVER STACK Tilly Sveaas 8

Never without a wrist full of chunky linked chains, my wrist stack grows and gets heavier. You can hear me coming a mile away, and I'm sure one arm is probably longer than the other due to the weight of solid silver I carry around!

Blue Trainers

BLUE TRAINERS Tilly Sveaas 7

I seem to have such a limited colour palette when it comes to clothes: double denim, white, navy, and camel. I am a sucker for classic cashmere and well-cut shirts, and so these shoes add a pop of colour to my pared-down staples. They are also like walking on a cloud, which allows for lots of walking, which I love!

Kerasia, Corfu

KERASIA Tilly Sveaas 10

My favourite beach! It's so peaceful and undeveloped. A small taverna at one end and then a stretch of the clearest diamond water and very little else. A perfect place to escape to, especially out of season.
