Similarly, soy lecithin and sunflower lecithin are emulsifiers that improve how a powder mixes in liquid. The standard to apply is simple: if an ingredient does not contribute meaningfully to the nutritional profile, its presence should at least be explainable. If it isn’t, it’s likely there for the manufacturer’s benefit rather than yours.
Third-Party Testing: The Verification Worth Looking For
The supplements industry is less tightly regulated than food manufacturing, which means claims on packaging are not independently verified unless a brand has sought third-party certification.
