Adventure Cinema
With venues across Great Britain in the most historic of stately homes, Adventure Cinema is offering over 300 outdoor cinema shows this summer. You'll easily find a location near you, either a National Trust house, medieval castle or a beautiful country estate, each showing giving you an unforgettable cinema experience. There's an eclectic mix of classics, musicals, big blockbusters and family films to enjoy under the sun and stars. Immerse yourself in the magic of the movies and have the time of your life with your friends and loved ones. This outdoor cinematic experience can be found in towns and cities across the UK at well-run locations. Browse the site to find a location near you and then book via Eventbrite. These are sing your heart out occasions, as you watch your old favourites on the big screen.
Cinestock
Enjoy seventeen nights of film at seven stunning venues across Kent and Sussex. This is Cinestock's fourteenth season of open-air cinema. Locations include Chartwell, Lewes Castle, Michelham Priory House. There is live music or a DJ set before each film and at every venue, you can explore parts of the grounds and at some, the inside of the buildings as well. At Saltdean Lido, you can swim before the films. This year's roster of films include Darkest House, Wonka, Bohemian Rhapsody, Notting Hill and Grease.
Star & Mouse Cinema
With just one event, at Oakham Castle on 30 August 2024, Star & Mouse Open Air Cinema propels you into a world of enchantment, where the magic of cinema meets the charm of the great outdoors. You'll find everything you need on site including culinary delights, a well stocked bar and blankets if it gets a bit chilly.
London
Rooftop Film Club
If you live in London, check out the screenings at Bussey Building in Peckham and Roof East, Stratford. Calling itself the ultimate open air cinema, expect dramatic skylines, sunsets, great food and drink and a handpicked curations of cult, classic and new films. This year's screenings include Pretty Woman, Notting Hill, Lost In Translation, Top Gun Maverick and more.
Everyman Screen On The Canal
Enjoy free open-air cinema from 1st July to 18th August 2024 at King's Cross Coal Drops Yard. There is a full programme of blockbusters, family favourites, cult classics, plus some summer sporting events.Films run throughout the day and every evening, with movies being screened from the canalside steps on Granary Square. The comfortable staggered seating ensures everyone gets a full view of the screen. All films are un-ticketed events and seating is on a first come first served basis. We recommend arriving early to avoid disappointment. The area buzzes with great restaurants, bars and cafes, all of which make for a great day or night out.
Barbican Outdoor Cinema
The outdoor cinema programme of 'film nights under city lights' takes place between Wednesday 21st August to Sunday 1st September. Enjoy the warm summer evenings filled with fantastic films ranging from cult classics to international gems on a giant screen in the Barbican's Sculpture Court, where you'll also mouth-watering street food and drinks. Films on show this include The Grand Budapest Hotel, Marie Antoinette, The Boy and the Heron and An American in Paris.

Tulleys Drive In Cinema, Sussex
Tulleys in Crawley, West Sussex, is the ultimate in drive in cinema, with its magical big screen where you can watch a favourite film under the stars but from the comfort of your own car. Tulleys state-of-the-art screen and sound equipment ensures you'll get a crystal-clear view and amazing sound quality. The season kicks on 26th July with Barbie. Other shows include Greatest Showman, Wonka, Rocketman, Mamma Mia Here We Go Again and more.
Woodside Drive In, The Wirral
This is a classic drive in cinema in the Wirral, where you'll see all your favourites from Mamma Mia, Dirty Dancing, Sister Act, E.T. and more. There is American food and drink available, plus delicious ice cream and if you don't have a car, you can use one of Woodside's bean bags.
