This spring, Tavola, Skye’s tableware brand, returns with a much-anticipated pop-up at 48 Elizabeth Street, SW1W, running from 3rd May to 7th June. An emporium dedicated to beauty for beauty’s sake (our favourite kind), the shop is a celebration of slow living and joyful entertaining, offering everything from vintage tableware to picnic-ready baskets, fragrant floral posies to hand-painted ceramics, each delivering a hit of Italian sunshine to the capital.
Tavola is a love letter to la dolce vita, and this year, it comes alive with a programme of intimate in-store workshops that promise a hit of Grand Canal glamour. Think: painting your own floral menu cards, floral design sessions with Skye herself, and whimsical children’s art events that add a touch of fantasy to even the smallest guests' imaginations.
Here’s what to bookmark:
10th May: Forivor’s Feast – a children’s workshop imagining the perfect midnight table.
23rd May: A Table in Bloom – a seasonal tablescape class with Skye McAlpine and floral designer Minnow and Wolf.
25th May: Paint Your Own Menu Cards – watercolour magic with Imogen Partridge.
27th May: Spring Menu Planning & Table Styling – an evening with Skye on how to craft a meal and set the scene.
1st June: Illustrated Menus to Match Your Plates – another elegant workshop with Imogen Partridge.
Each session offers a chance to slow down, get creative, and embrace the joy of hosting. In true Tavola style, the atmosphere is more friend’s kitchen than formal class. Whether you're popping in to pick up a hand-glazed jug or booking a table-setting workshop with Skye herself, this is a pop-up for anyone who dreams of meandering through Venice’s winding streets, stopping in for cicchetti here and a Bellini there.
Open Monday–Saturday (10am – 6pm) and Sundays (12pm – 6pm), from 3rd May to 7th June.
