I have tried a few ready made meal delivery services, and been pleasantly surprised. Because I enjoy cooking, the most useful purpose for a service like this is ordering for friends and family a variety of dishes as a thoughtful gesture during busy life moments, such as moving house, coming home with a new baby, and being too unwell to cook etc.

They have always been very much appreciated and hence I always love hearing about further options. Enter Planty, the vegan offering.

All about plants, and eating better, they launched in 2019, and set out to make eating more plants easy and delicious.

Taking the stress and hassle out of the everyday pressure to cook healthy meals and dream up new recipes, you pick your totally plant-based food from the menu and the food will be delivered to your doorstep. Each dish has been prepared by their team of Michelin-starred chefs who are committed to taste, texture, flavour, and has an understanding of combinations that work.

After choosing between 6 to 12 meals and up to 12 extras, you select your delivery date Tuesday to Saturday with free weekday delivery, a subscription plan that works best for you.

The goal is about creating and perfecting restaurant-quality dishes with fresh, natural ingredients and no lack of flavour.

By ordering pre-portioned dishes it eliminates preparation and shopping time and helps cut the amount of food being thrown away unnecessarily.

The meals are filled with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes, nuts and seeds which are great to achieve a balanced and nourishing plant-based diet.

The brand’s packaging is 100% recyclable, compostable, or reusable. You can even return it to them to reuse.

They are working on becoming B-Corp certified, meeting high standards of social and environmental performance.

Their deliveries are carried out by delivery partner DPD, and are carbon-neutral. This helps reduce the carbon footprints vs going to the supermarket.

Planty recently launched their new plant rich breakfast range and the company has been awarded three Great Taste Awards. Their Not-a-Chicken Tikka Masala and Sticky Date Pudding were given the Guild of Fine Food mark of approval in 2022.
