We've asked our friends at Magimix to share some of their favourite festive recipes. This cheesecake can frankly be served at any time of the year but come Christmas, it certainly makes a statement. It'll go down a storm.

Xmas Magimix Choc Orange Cheesecake Full

If you're using a Magimix, the instructions below are compatible with 4200, 5200.

Serves: 8-10
Prep Time: 20 minutes

Ingredients



250g gingernut biscuits
125g butter, melted
600g cream cheese
200ml double cream
2 eggs
140g soft brown sugar
200g dark chocolate, 70%, melted
3 orange, zest

Ganache



175g dark orange chocolate
100ml double cream

Whipped cream and dried orange

Method



1. Add the gingernuts to the food processor and PULSE until completely broken into crumbs.
2. Add the melted butter and pulse to combine.
3. Push the biscuits into the bottom of the cheesecake pan and smooth the top.
4. Now make the cheesecake filling. Add the cream cheese and eggs and combine.
5. Add the double cream, sugar, chocolate and zest of the oranges.
6. Add the cheesecake filling on top of the biscuit base and place into a larger baking tray in the oven.
7. Fill the larger baking tray up with 1 inch of boiling water and c]bake the cheesecake at 180°C for 1 hour.
8. Take the baked cheesecake out of the oven and allow to cool to room temperature before placing in the fridge overnight.
9. Make the ganache by melting the chocolate and cream together. Pour over the chilled cheesecake and top with whipped cream, and dried orange slices.
