‘Social media platforms including Instagram have changed the way we view fashion,’ says Becky. ‘At the click of a button we are able to view any blogger or influencer and pour over images of high street to high end fashion. As a blogger, I am inspired by writers, photographers, stylists, fashion and lifestyle bloggers. I follow a number of accounts but here are my top picks:
The Fashion Lift by Fran Bacon
Fran Bacon is a blogger who launched The Fashion Lift. She has a background in fashion buying and seems to be ahead of the game in terms of trends; I admire her style as it is relaxed and very wearable. She has a great attention to detail when putting together an outfit.
Alexa Chung
What’s not to love! Not only is Alexa Chung gorgeous, but she seems to be able to turn her hand to anything; modelling, writing, presenting and more recently becoming a fashion designer. Her style is unique. She is fashion forward often wearing classic clothes but seems to add a playful twist, with slogan tees, oversized jumpers or fun accessories.
The Frugality by Alex Stedman
Alex Stedman from The Frugality is a writer and stylist. I love having the opportunity to have a peek into her home, which she is currently renovating for inspiration and tips. Her fashion sense appears effortless and cool and she has the ability make even jeans and a jumper look super stylish.
Caroline’s Style Hacks
As much as I love the big bloggers I also take huge inspiration from the smaller, less well-known accounts too. Ones to watch are Carolines Style Hacks, a Scottish fashion blogger with beautiful simple style. I also follow Irenemylife who takes the most beautiful lifestyle shots of her stunning Cotswold Manor House. I’m hooked on both.
