Spring Watch: Four Trends To Know For SS23
From cargo pants to silver: we round up the trends that we want in on for spring/summer 2023. The main memo: the nineties are back.
The Cargo Pant
The noughties are officially back – and they’ve brought cargo trousers along for the ride. These are this season’s must-have (seen all over the runway from Tom Ford to Balmain) and the more pockets, the better!
Lace Trimming
Lace trimmed night wear was seen all over the catwalk this year, with Thierry Mugler being a particular highlight. While we might not go for the full negligee-out-for-dinner look ourselves, we do find that we’re easily tempted by a subtle touch of lace.
Grunge
Grunge is back with a vengeance. Think checked flannel shirts, distressed jeans, boxy sweaters on top of flowy, silky skirts, as shown on Bottega Veneta’s runway. We love the idea of distressed jeans with a pair of court heels…
Metallic Silver
Silver is huge this season and we love it! Gucci, as ever, stole the show with its silver-clad models. Again, we would give a nod to the trend with a touch of silver on a bag, shoe or trouser.
