Maison M is now the home of cult velvet pouches, quilted bags and unique dresses, or in the words of its founders, 'a conscious collection of beautiful things.' They started the business in 2017 sourcing things that other people had made.
Today everything is designed and made exclusively for them. Many pieces are made by the people that they bought from initially, who now use their skills to manufacture for them. The knitwear is done in Nepal, the block prints in India, and all the patchwork and the velvet is made in London.
Being based in central London and Ibiza has resulted in a product range which fits easily in both places. The aim being to promote a versatile and relaxed collection which is neither trend led or seasonal.
The brand follows a sustainability ethos, knowing all their suppliers and ensuring their artisans are properly paid. A huge amount of pieces, such as the patchwork and block print are created in limited runs using deadstock fabric, meaning they never have a surplus of fabric or products.
With summer approaching, I have my eye on the Fringe Towelling maxi dresses, which come in various colours.

And the hand dyed Aran knitwear for chillier evenings.

All the bags are great, especially the tote and smaller clutch / make up bag.
