Creating stylish and innovative furniture designs for real homes.

Established in 1983, The Dormy House is a family-run business that has come a long way since it started selling round chipboard tables. You'll find furniture for every room of your home along with some brilliant storage solutions that you can personalise to your requirements.

Bespoke options that make elegant furniture from The Dormy House uniquely yours. By designing and manufacturing in-house, they offer you remarkable value and can tailor their furniture to your needs with modular ranges and a choice of paint colours and fabrics, handles and knobs. They’ll make some bespoke pieces, too.

Making decisions on furniture for your home can sometimes feel daunting and that’s why The Dormy House has a team of experienced staff, who are dedicated to providing you with the best service. They are always on hand to give expert advice on any queries you may have and to send paint and fabric samples on request.

Today, the collection has grown from round chipboard tables to beautiful painted furniture, soft furnishings and accessories. Bringing The Dormy House into your home couldn’t be easier - every room is catered for from living and dining rooms to hallways, kitchens, bedrooms, kids’ rooms, home offices and bathrooms.

Their most popular painted products currently are the library of wall storage and the New Hampshire modular desks, whilst headboards and footstools remain strong contenders for the prize for customers’ favourite upholstered pieces. However, we think that the new TV unit might just become a best seller…

They also have a fabulous range of accessories including lamps, curtains, blinds, traditional eiderdowns and even dog beds. You can choose from a selection of fabrics and you also have the option to send your own fabric.

Being a British-run, UK-based, British company, The Dormy House can ensure that everything they produce for you is done to the highest quality. They use MDF because it's an excellent material for furniture-making. It is a high grade composite that performs better than solid wood in many areas and especially if that piece of furniture is going to have a paint finish, which theirs do. They use solid wood on sofa and chair frames, table and stool legs, and have introduced solid oak tops to broaden their collection, too.

Request a brochure that can be posted to your home or if you can’t wait, you can download a PDF version. Subscribe to their emailing list, too, to make sure that you never miss out on the latest news, offers and advice.

The blog, Instagram feed and Facebook pages are always full of useful design ideas and solutions, with decorating dos and don’ts, and plenty of inspiration.

You can shop online, and if you live in the Hampshire area you can visit the showroom, which is open from Monday – Friday from 10 a.m until 4.30 p.m and the first Saturday of every month from 10 a.m until 2 p.m. The team would love to meet you and if you are curious about their manufacturing process, they’d be proud to give you a whistle stop tour so you can explore all the wonderful possibilities behind their products.
