We talk to Romaine Coonghe, founder of the online destination for individuals interested or working in the children’s fashion industry.

Junior Style London shares a mix of fashion editorials, designer campaigns and collections, industry events, trend edits, and interviews with major designers and influencers.

What was the inspiration behind the website?
Originally, we were showcasing kids’ wear labels—especially ones no one had come across—but recently we’ve begun sharing more creative editorial work in the kids fashion world.

When did you launch the site?
The current website launched Feb 2016, having evolved over several years from an online store selling independent kids’ wear labels in carefully curated online sales events.

What are your greatest challenges?
There is a steep learning curve for most fashion businesses when it comes to understanding the digital marketing landscape, so I spend a lot of time educating people on how to execute a strategic marketing campaign.

Please recommend a website and / or app that helps you promote your site or that you simply couldn't live without.

Do you have a favourite business podcast?
I like Girl Boss Radio!

What is the best piece of digital advice you've been given in regards to your showcasing/running your business online?
Be authentic and true to yourself—trends come and go, but having a unique perspective and narrative that is unique to you is priceless.

What is your motto?
Never Give up. Sometimes the very moment we want to give up is the very last challenge/test. Once passed, you will have your fruits!

Have you put your company forward for an award before? If so, please let us know which one.
No, but it felt that the time was right and the prize is amazing!
