For startups to established household names, categories for The GWG Awards cover a wide range of lifestyle interests.

The categories cover a wide range of lifestyle interests. A website or app may be entered into multiple categories. The Awards are now open for entries and the closing date has been extended to midnight Friday 5th October 2018. At the Awards Reception held in early November in central London, we will announce category winners, with an overall winner for Website of the Year and App of the Year, drawn from all the categories.

Luxury - For premier brands across all sectors (retail, travel or services based).

Travel & Leisure - Tour operators, online guides, associated travel services, blogs and forums.

Startups - For enterprises that have been operating for under two years (no earlier than June 2016), providing either goods or services.

Fashion - For ecommerce, designers, bloggers, stylists and editorial sites.

Children - For retailers, designers, bloggers, apps and editorial sites.

Home & Garden - Covering ecommerce, information and advice, home improvement, interior or garden design, architecture, blogs and forums.

Food & Drink - Ecommerce, resources for wine, food and recipes, blogs and forums.

Arts/Culture - Promoting art or culture in any medium, art galleries, museums, online guides, art criticism and information. Includes music, film and performing arts.

Property - Property portals, estate agencies and associated services, including property maintenance, architect practices.

Educational - Learning resources, both online/offline, interactive games to help inspire adults/children to learn, educational establishments including universities, colleges and schools.

Useful - For sites/apps that we can't live without (information/news based, crowdfunding, group buying, fintech, networking, transport, comparison sites, dating or retail/service providers).

Business/Corporate - Promotion and marketing of organisations, businesses; online resources to support and inform entrepreneurs and business owners; business networks and forums.

Wellbeing - For ecommerce, providers of health, fitness or beauty services, both off and online, forums and editorially lead sites.

Best Use of Social Media* - Year-round activity across social media platforms or specific initiatives using social media marketing or social selling.

Best Digital Transformation or Technology Website* - Where brands are experimenting with new technology (chatbots/VR/AR) to complement their web presence.

Charity/Social Enterprise - Sites for individual charities and charitable/non profit organisations that inform and support their visitors and communities. Please note: there is no entry fee for this category

People's Choice - For those sites/apps that want their customers and fans to vote for them, as opposed to putting their site forward for scrutiny by the judges. Please note that sites/apps will automatically be entered into this category when they enter another category. However, companies can enter this category alone for which there is a charge.

Entry forms are submitted online. Each entry will attract a nominal fee that will contribute towards administrative costs (excluding charities and not for profit organisations).
