Rosalind Rathouse is a professional cook and tutor who has been teaching cookery to people of all ages and abilities for over 40 years. Rosalind opened Cookery School at Little Portland Street in 2003, a gem of a school in the heart of London that has become one of the most respected and prestigious in the country. Over that time, it has established a wide ranging clientele, from businessmen and city types through to housewives and kids, some can cook and some can’t, who all leave feeling excited and inspired by the food they have cooked.

With Rosalind’s knowledge and experience she has over the years been called upon for her opinion and skills, particularly by the BBC who have discussed everything from cooking for families for BBC news, the nutritional properties of vegetables with Radio 5, a Christmas lunch cook up with BBC Breakfast’s Bill and Sian, to a recent lesson with a 2012 Olympian in which a high protein dish was prepared.

ROSALIND'S FAVOURITE SITES

Epicurious - An amazing and inspiring collection of recipes - it's far too easy to spend an afternoon browsing and menu planning. Luckily this is something I have to do!

Great British Chefs - GBC really shows how far food has come in the UK and how interested people are in cooking which is just brilliant. Even though the food is quite 'cheffy' it is still fairly simple and accessible - it's not over-garnished.

Alastair Sawday's - A fantastic site that reveals really special places to stay, you feel like you've found a hidden gem every time - I like to think this is how people feel when they've been to Cookery School!

Zagat: London & New York - This American site does great reviews and recommendations, it seems to be growing in the UK and is good for London restaurant reviews. I like to keep up with what's going on in New York whose food trends tend to gradually make their way over here.

Via Michelin - This is a site that most people would not immediately think of. However, it offers recommendations for best value restaurants and charming restaurants all over the world - I use this site every time I go somewhere new.
