IMELDA'S FAVOURITE SITES

EWG’s Skin Deep Cosmetics Database - For anyone who is interested in cleaning up his or her cosmetics cabinet for 2013, this is a great tool to use to start the edit. Just type in a brand name, product or ingredient and The Skin Deep database will bring back all the current research on the ingredients used within the product and give it a rating from 0 – 10 (10 being not safe in their opinion).

No More Dirty Looks - This started as a book and guide on how to switch to organic and natural beauty products written by two journalists, Siobhan O’Connor and Alexandra Spunt, which has grown into a must-read blog for those in the know. I love reading the daily routines feature. It highlights just how many products we use on a daily basis but also how easy it is to switch to natural and organic products. It’s always great to see many of the brands we stock at Content featured as everyday products in people’s regimes around the world. The blog also covers general wellbeing topics.

Nowness - Having previously worked in the fashion industry for fifteen years, I can still spend hours browsing fashion and culture sites – my current favourite is Nowness. Covering categories such as Art, Beauty, Culture, Design, Fashion, Food, Music, Sports and Travel, the site brings together the world’s foremost designers, creatives and thinkers, to one space, which serves as a daily resource for 'the culturally curious.'

My New Roots - I love reading healthy food blogs and a favourite is My New Roots written by holistic nutritionist and vegetarian chef, Sarah Britton (BFA, CNP). Each recipe includes an explanation of the nutritional benefits of the ingredients used. Look up the Superfood Haute Chocolate recipe for warming yourself up on a cold winter's day, or the Fragrant Pho Noodle Bowl, if you are doing a post Christmas Cleanse.

Well & Good - This New York based magazine-style, health and wellbeing site offers tips on everything from cleansing, exercise and meditation through to natural beauty products. The expert interviews and recipes are always worth a read and its newsletters are always a welcome arrival in my inbox.

Radiance - At this time of year many of us are thinking of detoxing or cleansing after the excesses of the holiday period. As someone who likes a little style with their sustenance, my go-to website for when my body needs a reboot is Radiance. It is the first juice cleanse company to gain Soil Association certification which is a huge plus for me. I like giving my body a regular break with the rest day option and a seasonal cleanse with the three or five day option.
