Youpijob is revolutionising the way we engage with everyday jobs - from gardening to babysitting to moving.

We’re always on the hunt for a great new website here at The GWG, so when we stumbled across the iconoclastically named Youpijob, we were more than a little intrigued. The decidedly French concept has just launched in the UK (as of March 2013). The community driven site sets out to revolutionise the way we engage with everyday tasks, and offers a whole new forum to those looking for a flexible way of working at the click of a very well trained mouse. With the revolution in remote careers sweeping café’s across Britain, this site is just what’s required for those of you looking to get a little more life out of your working day and vice versa.

A marketplace that connects thousands of workers with the jobs that are perfect for them, and it could be anything; admin, writing copy for a website, even ironing (no job is too large or too small) – yes if there’s someone in your neighbourhood looking - the site will help you find them.

Is none other than Benjamin Leyne, who describes the concept thus: “It cuts out expensive middlemen and in these tough economic times is a great way to save money, and connect with people in your community.” We couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
Already a huge success in France, the Youpijob community of Jobbers and Posters is growing fast, boasting 35,000 users, with over 200 new jobs a week being posted. It’s an impressive addition to the crowdsourcing market, and one that prizes safety above all else. Look out for our upcoming Startup Salon where we get the lowdown from Benjamin himself.
