Beautiful fashion, lifestyle and travel gifts.

Looking for fashion, gifts or homeware that are a little bit different? One of our very first port of calls is always the website of Oliver Bonas, the ultimate lifestyle gift shop selling everything from statement fashion accessories to stylish homewares.

This independent British lifestyle store, that now sells their own fashion and design-led homeware, began life in 1993. Olly, the founder behind Oliver Bonas, spent his childhood in many different countries and developed an exploratory spirit from an early age. At university, he studied Anthropology and would bring back gifts for friends from his travels abroad. His friends were delighted with his offerings and Olly had found his calling. He would make a living selling gifts. In 1993, he started with his first shop on Fulham Road, that had been repainted by his friends, with Olly behind the counter on a second hand till. Two decades on and Oliver Bonas has grown to 63 shops across the UK, with a mega website to boot.

The website is divided into clear categories - fashion, jewellery, accessories, homeware, furniture, gift, sale, inspiration. Today, pretty much everything is now designed in house so, other than the books and a few novelty items, you won’t find their items anywhere else. New designs arrive in store and online every week.

Party dresses, sheer shirts, denim jackets, slogan knitwear, asymmetric skirts… You name it; the fashion team at Oliver Bonas has thought of it. Not only can you shop for your home here, you can also give your wardrobe a sartorial boost. Yes, it’s a high street store, but the quality is top notch and catwalk worthy. Look no further if you’re looking for some new clobber.

Silver, gold plated, rose gold, costume, pearl… the options are many. The site sells statement-making bracelets and bangles, ‘take the attention’ necklaces and pendants – think chunky, think mixed textures and a spot of drama – and more subtle silver jewellery with semi-precious stones.

A bit of this, a bit of that. Some describe shopping at Oliver Bonas like a really good flea market or vintage shop, but without the hassle. You could furnish your entire house through Oliver Bonas and it wouldn’t look ‘done’. And that’s a compliment, by the way. They sell modern statements like the gold and glass side tables alongside velvet sofas in Designers Guild fabrics and wooden chests of drawers with mismatched handles. And that’s just for starters. There are cushions, throws, vases, mirrors, wall art, candles, photo frames and glassware.

Need some gift ideas? Most of the gifts on the Oliver Bonas site are so inspired and eclectic that you’re going to struggle to give them away. Copper Pineapple Ice Bucket, anyone? Or are you tempted by the Metallic Set of Four Champagne Glasses? It was the alphabet coasters and pretty frames that got us. You can shop by recipient, by occasion (Birthday, New Home, Anniversary etc) or by category (Travel, Tech, Stationery, you get the gist).
