British brand Knomo, dubbed the Apple of the fashion world, has just unveiled the ultimate tech backpack, complete with wireless charging, Bluetooth and water resistance. This LiveFree backpack is getting a lot of airtime among techie travelers, of which there are many.
The new bag, which yes, does even have its own hashtag #LiveFree launched on Kickstarter on 5th April and is looking to raise £50,000. The backpack is nearly ready for production - £162 is the minimum contribution required to secure a bag.
This backpack does an awful lot more than just hold your laptop. The pockets are secure and have RFID blocking to ensure important documents or essentials such as credit cards and passports are protected from identity theft. This blocking pocket will prevent rogue radio devices from hacking into anything you’re carrying.
Knomo has collaborated with Chipolo, the makers of the tiny Bluetooth lost and found trackers with the very loud alarms, so you can track the backpack easily, and also take advantage of the Chipolo community and companion app. Best of all is the wireless in-bag charging system called DropGo; the Qi certified powerbank means to charge your phone, all you need to do is drop it into the backpack’s charging pocket. It can charge most Samsung Galaxy S Phones without extra accessories; for iPhones, you’ll need a special Qi dongle. The bag is made form British Millerain waxed cotton canvas that has a hydrophobic wax coating making it durable and protected from water damage.
