The founder of the London based club that keeps kids entertained during holidays and halfterms shares some favourite Instagram feeds.

Miss Sophie’s Holiday Club was started by a primary school teacher in the heart of London. Sophie noticed the need that parents have to entertain their children over the long school holidays, and with that in mind, an educational, adventurous and playful holiday club began. With so many diverse landmarks on London’s doorstep, along with the growing need to give children a rounded, active and stimulating education, she believes wholeheartedly in taking children’s learning outside. Her trips give children the adventure they wish for, whilst at the same time allowing them to discover new things along the way.

All the days out are catered to meet a wide range of needs, and often include some creative days to allow for arts and crafts. Sophie is passionate about finding new and novel ideas and has been a keen user of Instagram since starting Miss Sophie’s.

Here Sophie shares some favourite feeds, offering an insight into life through the eyes of both child and parent:

A North London family page, Pramstead offers an insight into life in the area. They have exciting events, and offer ideas on how to entertain your family at the weekends. Their page is full of colourful quotes, activities and inspiration for anyone working with children.

I was excited to meet Natasha and her team at Wild Child Kitchen. They are passionate about fuelling children’s interest in food and providing nutritious and healthy meals and snacks. WCK also now provide packed lunches for our team of hungry explorers when we are out and about with Miss Sophie’s!

This is my go to page for all my literacy fuelled fun! I enjoy keeping on top of any recent book launches and finding new books to inspire my explorers when out and about. If you are mad about children’s books, like me, then this is the page to follow, and so reassuring to see that children’s books shops are still standing strong!

Pangbourne House is a Montessori based in Notting Hill whose ideas are lively and creative. They use arts and crafts to stimulate their children and their ideas incorporate important sensory play into their day.

Miss Sophie’s loves trips to the Science Museum. I was thrilled to find Science Sparks which offers creative and fun ideas for young children, allowing them to take part in science, no matter what age. The page is full of wonderful ideas which I use both in my clubs and also in my classroom.
