The five best fashion apps that every fashionista should have on their phone, by Vanessa Collen from Collen & Clare.

I love good editorial and an app can make me feel as though I am flicking through a magazine,’ says Vanessa Collen, co-founder of Collen & Clare, one of the 50 best boutiques outside London according to The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella Magazine. ‘I love seeing someone stylish on the street and wanting to know what they are wearing, how they mix up brands.’ Here, Vanessa talks through the five apps that every fashionista should download.

LIKEtoKNOW.it

Ever wondered what your favourite influencer is wearing? With the LIKEtoKNOW.it app, you are able to browse and shop the outfit with just a tap. I have to confess that I am still getting to grips with this app but its popularity is growing. It is a great tool for spotting up-and-coming new brands and for me that is a key part of an independent buyers job. I am scanning LIKEtoKNOW.it now as we prepare to start buying for Summer 2019, hunting for something fresh and new.

Vestiare Collective

I am a big believer in recycling and managing your wardrobe. Over time our jobs and lifestyles often change but if you are lucky enough to buy designer items they can last longer than you need them. The Vestiaire Collective app offers us all an opportunity to sell them on. We have several customers who actively manage their current season purchases by selling previous season items on Vestiaire Collective, an inspired and well-managed app.

Conde Naste Traveller

In this digital world I have struggled to get 'into' apps but the Conde Naste Traveller one has me hooked. For ultimate escapism, it's a great read for when I'm commuting back from busy buying trips. Every issue manages to inspire me professionally and personally, adding destinations to my wishlist and inspiring me for buying trips and to top it off 'Collen & Clare' has been featured in it several times too.

British Vogue

Pretty much the 'bible' this is a must-have on my iPhone & iPad. The Vogue app allows me to keep up-to-date with the latest news from the fashion industry and so much more. It is aspirational living on every level.

Vogue Runway

This is quite possibly my favourite app and one I have had on my iPhone for a long time. Runway is perfect for keeping an eye on the collections from so many designers and provides a brilliant archive to see how subtly fashion silhouettes change between seasons. When viewing a collection it is a great reference tool to see how pieces look on models and how the collection is going to sit together in store. It is a treasure trove for a buyer.
