Jean Cazals, award-winning food photographer, shares some favourite sites and apps.

For more than 20 years, the photography of Jean Cazals has been dazzling the culinary book, advertising and editorial world. During this time, Jean has photographed more than 80 books and his work has won numerous awards, including the distinguished Prix Gourmand Best Food Photographer and Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year 2012. He is also author and photographer of Tea Time, winner of Gourmand Best Dessert Cook Book earlier this year.

Jean’s photography is now being exhibited at the French Art Studio in Kensington. EAT ME! is a solo exhibition of Limited Edition images celebrating the beauty of chocolate and macaroon within a series of flamboyant and witty compositions. The exhibition runs from 8th November to 7th January 2014.

Conde Nast Traveller - an open door to travel and seeing things, the photo galleries are superb. There is everything you need for sourcing luxurious destinations and unique experiences across the continents and includes everything from food to sightseeing.

Interview Magazine - This New York based magazine covers fashion, art, music, culture, film and nightlife. Definitely one to look up when you’re in NYC, but the online version is simply the best wherever you are when it comes to fashion/portraits and especially design magazine photography!

Architectural Digest Magazine - This is one for French speakers, and a must for anyone interested in architecture, decoration, arts and design. It’s my go-to for inspiration and ideas that are cutting edge and international.

ShakeIt Photo App - A fun app and the real deal when it comes to photographic nostalgia! Polaroid images with the authentic noise of the original camera! Perfect Polaroid photos from your iPhone.

Ski Tracks App - A must for any skier. Holds your itinerary and allows you to see how far you you’ve skied, maximum speed, how much you've skied vertically, the highest altitude, duration and much more. If you’re a very keen skier, you can compete with yourself, it just adds an edge to the whole experience. I love it!

Snapseed App - Definitely, definitively, the best photo app, trust me, I’m a photographer! Essentially, it’s Photoshop made easy. You need to play around with this app for a while to understand all its functions, but once you get the hang of it, it’s great! Important to shoot good images first though…

Shazam - All time favourite app. If you’re into music, this is a necessity! Great music is all around us and with this app you can immediately find out all about it and buy from iTunes straightaway. You can also check out the artist’s bio and discography, get the lyrics, watch videos and share tags.
