L'Artisan du Chocolat make the chocolates that your dreams are made of.
L'Artisan du Chocolat has won many awards for its delicious chocolates including the Great Taste awards and Academy of Chocolate awards. The company was set up by Gerard Coleman and Anne Weyns in 1999 who have since taken it to ever greater heights with their simply delicious chocolates. The Sunday Times says 'Impeccably sourced ingredients and highly inventive fillings make L'Artisan du Chocolat chocolates the best in the world.'
They have a shop in Lower Sloane Street, London but visiting their website is almost as good. Their descriptions are great and will have you filling your shopping basket in a matter of clicks. They infuse chocolate (the types of beans carefully chosen to complement other flavours) with flowers, spices and herbs in cream which makes a very soft ganache. There are 45 flavours in the Couture Collection.
One of their best sellers is the liquid salted caramels, a dark chocolate shell filled with liquid caramel with a hint of sea salt. The Chocolate Pearls are dark truffles with a pearl lustre and look almost too good to eat.
The O Collection are very thin mini discs filled with fruit coulis, pralines, caramel and Moroccan mint.
They also run tastings, the ultimate experience for the chocolate lover.
As Gordon Ramsay calls them, 'The Bentley of chocolate.' It all looks to good to be true.
