Cookery School At Little Portland Street is on the hunt for a deserving and socially minded recipient of its scholarship – worth nearly £8k.
Have you always dreamt of ditching the desk job and turning your love of culinary creation into something life-changing? For anyone with gastronomic aspirations allied with an eye on how that dream might also feed a social goal, the moment to turn the aspiration into your reality could just be now.
For the London-based Cookery School At Little Portland Street is throwing open its doors and inviting aspirant Jamie Olivers to apply for a fully-funded full-time place – starting in March 2020 – on its six-week course worth some £7,750. But don’t fear: if your foodie-driven social mission exists only in your head as yet, Cookery School’s decision-makers want to hear from candidates with winning ideas, regardless of what stage they are currently at.

All would-be chefs have to do is to apply online and, if successful, they will receive a Level 3 Certificate from Open College Network (OCN) London; a Level 2 Award in Wines from the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET); a Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Food Safety from the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH); and a Level 2 Sustainable Kitchen accreditation from OCN London.
In return, all that Cookery School asks for is collaborative contributions to its social media platforms and that the successful candidate continues to share their story for a year after they qualify.
Chop chop! The deadline for applications is 4 February. Best of luck from Team GWG to all next-generation culinary wunderkinds. To find out more, click here.
