L'Artisan du Chocolat

L'Artisan du Chocolat make the chocolates that your dreams are made of. Short of visiting their shop in Lower Sloane Street, a trip round their website is equally tempting. Try the Couture Collection: they infuse chocolate (the types of beans carefully chosen to complement other flavours) with flowers, spices and herbs in cream which makes a very soft ganache. One of their best sellers is the liquid salted caramels, a dark chocolate shell filled with liquid caramel with a hint of sea salt.

Hotel Chocolat

With a strong high street presence, Hotel Chocolat is a household name but the company hasn't sold out to mass production. Its extensive range of premium chocolates are made from chocolate sourced from its own cocoa estate in St. Lucia. The range is always innovative with great seasonal boxes and products. Established in 1902, Prestat is one oldest chocolate companies in the world and holds a Royal Warrant to HM The Queen. Choose if you can between their famous hand made truffles, fondants and mint collection. The packaging is swanky too. They hold the secret recipe for the Napoleon III Truffle, which was devised when the Emperor was exiled in London.

Charbonnel et Walker

Charbonnel et Walker is one of Britain's oldest chocolatiers, established in 1875, making chocolate for the connoisseur. They are are traditional chocolatiers and so it comes as no surprise that one of their most yearned for chocolates are their rose and violet creams. Truffles are mouthwatering and are made in a number of flavours: pink champagne, cappuccino and an interesting Bucks Fizz, complete with matching orange box.
