Virgin Media Shorts is now in its fourth year and has established itself as the UK's biggest short film competition.
Each year, Virgin Media Shorts gives twelve up and coming film makers the chance to get their films shown in cinemas across the UK for a whole year. The winning film picks up £30,000 to make their next film as well as invaluable mentoring from the British Film Institute.
THE WINNING FILM
This year, renowned actor, John Hurt was a judge and along with the judging panel, awarded the Grand Prize to 2:20, produced by Jason Wingard. It's a story about a man living on borrowed time, 2:20 mins of it.
THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE
The People's Choice was won by InaniMate, produced by Micheal O'Donoghue, Soulla Josephides and Ying Hui Tan: An animated film on finding inter-galactic true romance.
Finally, the TiVo® Award was presented to Coasting by Federico Forcolini.
