This week (in care you hadn't noticed) we've devoted all our efforts to sourcing some of the finest chocolate related fare on the web, from healthy alternatives to the requisite chocoholic feast of indulgence that is Easter right through to recipes and some chocolate related editorial. It's all there in abundance.

One of our newest finds here at The GWG; we're awash with praise for the ludicrously indulgent Chocolate Covered Katie. With an emphasis on bringing you healthier alternatives to all your favourite recipes, this is the site that allows you to indulge whilst shelving the guilt for Lent.

Rococo, don't you just love these chic upmarket chocolatiers? The kind that fall into the great gift category with ease (the packaging for one is utterly delightful). The site also has a blog that offers a unique insight into production as well as tips on chocolate events for cocoa lovers everywhere.

The Great British Chefs website (already much lauded across the web) has further heightened our ardour with its plethora of chocolate inspired recipes. There's much to enjoy; Absinthe and Peppermint truffles, Chocolate and Peanut Mousse, and we can vouch for the fact they're all pretty amazing.

If you're looking for recipes with a decidedly US centric feel, then our next recommendation will certainly hit home. Leite's Culinara is a website replete with standout recipes of old favourites, think peanut butter or chocolate chip cookies, and (drumroll) there's even the legendary $250 Nieman Marcus cookie; a recipe that has been circulating via chain letters for decades.

We're huge fans of ethical chocolate brand Original Beans here at The GWG, sourced from only the finest plantations, with an onus on ethical production, every bar is tagged for provenance. The site is manna to chocolate heaven with excellent editorial on a wide range of related issues, amongst them empowering women through cacao conservation.

Smitten is the buzzword, and it's nothing if not an apt moniker, because this is a site that inspires a warm fuzzy glow. Eschewing 'excessively fussy foods and/or pretentious ingredients' the site is all about accessibility. Originating from a tiny kitchen in NY it will also give you a taste of the Big Apple, without the hefty air fare.
