Homeware that is practical, high-quality, stylish and, above all, 'make people’s lives better.'

Tableware plays an important part in our daily lives, whether we choose a subtle design, go for something bright and colourful or just choose a product for its engaging back story. MAKE International is a destination site for feeding your desire for the products to make meal times even more enjoyable. The company is always on the lookout for new up and coming designers to work and collaborate with, giving its customers a variety of homeware that is every bit as practical as it is stylish.

THE STORY

MAKE International was founded in 2005 by Dominic Speelman who was joined by renowned ceramicist and judge of The Great Pottery Throw Down, Keith Brymer Jones, in 2008. Together they not only continue to expand Keith’s own word range but also grow MAKE’s portfolio with the additions of Scion, Jane Foster, Hokolo and Becky Baur so far. MAKE manufactures all the products for the designers it collaborates with. Keith Brymer Jones works with each designer to create unique products that are contemporary, stylish and most importantly reflect each designer’s ethos perfectly. Keith hand throws every shape in the portfolio, which are then mass produced to exacting standards before being shipped worldwide, such is their appeal.

The site is full of interesting asides with videos, news from the potter's wheel and more, where you can happily while away the time before getting down to the important bit of shopping.

CONTEMPORARY HOMEWARE

Shop this contemporary range by product type or by designer including Keith Brymer Jones’ own Word range of pure white tableware. Jane Foster’s work is inspired by Scandinavian designs of the 60s and 70s and appeal as much to adults as they do to children. The range includes mugs, coasters, glass and even little sewing kits for budding creative hands. The Scion range of tableware, glass and mats has very distinctive designs using fresh contemporary colours and simple shapes. Apple motifs and animals are a feature in Becky Baur's work. The newest range to MAKE International, Hokolo, is inspired by bright, geometric, mid-century inspired patterns.
