Do you tweet about all the entries?

The GWG endeavours to tweet about all the sites that have entered. However, on occasions, some sites might get missed off the list. Please email us if this is the case and we will rectify it.

When is the closing date?

The closing date has been extended to midnight 24th September 2017.

Why do you charge an entrance fee?

The entrance fees cover the administrative costs of staffing the programme, maintaining the website, the judging process and the marketing of the Awards.

How does the judging process work?

Entries are subjected to preliminary judging, category by category, from which selected sites will progress to a shortlist. A category shortlist is then presented to a panel of three judges, who will choose a winner per category.

Once the category winners have been established, the judging panel in entirety will choose one overall winner, The GWG Website of the Year.

What are the judging criteria?

Please see the following page covering this.

What is The People's Choice?

Entries in this category are judged purely on the response from their customers/clients who vote for them. The judges play no part in this category. The voting takes place during a specified time and the site that receives the most votes, wins the People's Choice category. You are only eligible to vote once. Find details here.

When is the shortlist announced?

The GWG aims to publish this in mid October but this date may change. The GWG will keep all entrants informed of the proposed date.

If my site is shortlisted, what happens next?

Each of the shortlisted sites (two guests per site) is invited to attend the Awards reception held on Monday 6th November at The Royal Institution, Albemarle Street, London W1 from 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm.

What do I get if my site is a category winner?

Category winners receive a trophy and are able to display an Awards 2017 banner on their site.

What do I get if my site is made The GWG Website of the Year?

The winning site will receive a number of prizes, details of which can be found here.
