Website of the Year 2011
The Good Web Guide's Website of the Year Award champions excellence and 2011 saw the awards grow in stature with industry experts judging the entries. In 2011, the standard of sites was markedly higher and it was a tough call choosing twenty-four sites for the shortlist. All these sites demonstrated innovation, passion and a commitment to harnessing the full power of the web.
Angus Elphinstone, founder of 2010's winning site, shipping and delivery service, anyvan.com commented, "Winning Website of the Year 2010 and beating all the other great entrants was a fantastic moment for us and gave us a great sense of achievement for what had, at that point, been over two years worth of hard work. The sense of recognition we earned from winning was, has been and continues to be huge for us, not to mention the national recognition that we have received."
The winning site and runners up were announced at the 2011 Awards Reception in London on Wednesday, 16th November, during Global Entrepreneurship Week (14-20th November 2011).
