Awards Reception 2010

The Good Web Guide celebrated its second Website of the Year Award at a party on 16th November during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The Royal Institution in Albemarle Street, London, provided the perfect backdrop for internet entrepreneurs to network. Doug Richard, founder of School For Startups kindly agreed to speak at the event and announce the winners.

Clients and friends joined in the celebrations as Angus Elphinstone, founder of ANYVAN, picked up the top prize of Website of the Year. Siobhan Freegard of Netmums picked up the prize for the People's Choice along with fellow mum, Luisa Sanders. In her blog the following day, Siobhan compared the awards to the 'X Factor for websites - without the money.'

We were delighted that all the judges, Sarah Beeny of Tepilo, Sophie Cornish of Notonthehighstreet, Mark Glynne-Jones of Jump To and Jamie Murray Wells of Glasses Direct, were able to attend the party and we caught some of them on camera, where they discussed ANYVAN's winning merits.
