Travelocity

This site has shed some of its more fancy handles since we last reviewed it, becoming more utilitarian. Understandably, not all of us what to be wooed into visiting places but if you just want to get down to the nitty gritty of booking flights, this is the place to do it. With a big advertising campaign, Travelocity looks keen and ready to knock Expedia off its pedestal.

Owned by travel database group SABRE, Travelocity offers a full online agency capable of booking transport and accommodation for UK customers. It also gives access to a database of destination and other travel-related information, courtesy of Lonely Planet. Remember that dot-com and dot-co.uk access two different sites.

To book, online registration (a 30-second deal) is required.

Fare Watcher will track the lowest price on your chosen destination and will email you with updates. Registration is necessary for this service. City Breaks offers a wide number of destinations worldwide and some at unbeatable prices. Their database will search over one million holidays to find you your dream package.
