TokyoQ
Produced by the Japanese telecoms giant Nokia this slick and easy-to-use e-mag type sight offers quality information and reviews covering Tokyo life, as well as current event news and features on different aspects of Japan and Japanese life. This is certainly the site to visit for anyone visiting Tokyo, although the site designers may have given us Westerners too much credit when they assumed we knew what is meant by Izakaya (see below).
Browse Archives allows visitors to pull up any previously reviewed restaurant or Nightlife establishments by name or area. It also gives access to the Tokyo telephone directory in English.
Books lets visitors who want to know a little more about Japan peruse titles and then it links to Amazon for those who wish to make a purchase.
Izakaya , for those of you who didn't know, actually means bar and/or casual restaurant and is also a title of a page on TokyoQ's site, which reviews lots of the City's exciting watering holes.
Bet Baths tells all about the mysterious Japanese ritual of baths. It gives detailed information on cost, what is provided (like towels and soap), behavioural guidelines and even where to eat your sushi before or after a bubbly wash.
