New York Times Travel
One of the best sources of travel information around, covering all aspects of travel from destination information, to chat room forums, to a massive archive of anything related to travel. Of course, all the articles are targeted at the North American traveller, but many people from all around the world use this site for reliable information. Registration is required to visit the Travel section, but this is a very brief ordeal, requiring name, password, and other personal details.
On New York Times homepage, you'll find the Travel category listed in the site index on the left-hand side of the screen. The Travel page is fairly easy to decipher, but ignore the misleading titles, such as site index and marketplace, in black boxes under the page title. These are not relevant to the travel page, but are intended as navigation aids for the entire New York Times. Instead, scroll down to find your area of interest.

COMMENTS
Primarily aimed at the American traveller, though there is still plenty of interest for those who are UK-based.
