e-med

The Travel Clinic, found in the tool bar at the top of the homepage provides a link to lots of essential travel information.

The Pre-Travel health information service gives up to date information and advice on immunisations, antimalarial medication and precautions that should be taken when traveling and covers over 230 countries. To receive a customised email report detailing the necessary jabs and other precautions you should take before and while traveling enter your email, a few details and your intended destination. You do not need to be a member of e-med to take advantage of this service.

Returning to the Travel Clinic you can find out how much the medication recommended will cost and even book an appointment online. There is also a link to an archive of health related questions that have been answered by Dr Jules Eden's column, that features in several national publications. A diverse range of topics are covered ranging from animal attacks to children and infections.

The Immunisation Schedule outlines vaccine treatment and the length of cover. Medical packs can also be purchased from this site.

Whilst the rest of the site is dedicated to general health there is also a diving section. This provides information about the risks involved with diving and the option to book a medical (a medical certificate is required by law in many countries for those engaging in diving activities).
