An easy-to-use guide to regional hotels in the UK and Ireland, which forms just part of the AA Guide to Britain. Search by brand or consortium as well as location. The site is informative about places to stay, even in the remotest parts of the UK, and has just introduced online booking for many of the hotels on its database. For these, you can check availability and will receive instant booking confirmation.

The AA can be forgiven for the rather uninspiring design of the homepage, since what it lacks in aesthetic appeal it more than makes up for in the amount and quality of information on offer.

To find a hotel, use the Interactive Map or type a location in the blank box on the left-hand side of the homepage. Register your requirements from the drop-down menus. You can also link to AA Premier Hotels, Hotel Groups and Consortia and Special Hotel Offers by clicking on the logos.>

We have had some trouble linking straight through to the hotels page. If the link is not working then try the AA's main homepage at www.theaa.com, and click on Hotels under Find, in the left-hand toolbar.
