Although Original Travel has always catered to families in its choice of holidays, Original Kids tailors and refines this area of its expertise, making the experience that bit easier, and more fun for both parents and kids.

CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE

There are a total of 25 trips to choose from on the Original Kids site, helpfully divided into Adventures, Escapes, Skiing and Safaris with highlights including, self-catering cottages in Reykjavik, beaches and Bedouin camps in Oman, South African safaris planned around the kids' timetables, surf lessons in Costa Rica, or ski-school in Pragelato Resort in Italy. The kids going on these holidays are in for a treat.

The site is highly usable, with parents able to search options based on when they would like to go, what type of trip they would like to do and the age of their youngest child. Family-specific features of each trip are also highlighted, from minimum age to crèche facilities or kids' sports or activities.

SPECIAL FEATURES FOR KIDS

What really marks this site out from the crowd though is the appeal that it holds for kids. Helping kids to get involved in the decision making process behind the trip and become enthusiastic about travel, Original Travel has set up a number of special features for kids. These include: a goodie bag per family booking, full of educational and fun gifts, a section called Ask Professor Ron - who helps kids with their geography homework, a monthly Where's Wally? style competition for kids, involving Original Kids' monkey mascot, Otie, with travel games as prizes, Monkey Business games for the kids, including Say What you See and a photo album of Otie's travels with the Original Travel team.
