Farm & Cottage Holidays are the West Country's largest and leading self-catering letting agents with an extensive portfolio of cottages, barn conversions, town houses, beach apartments and log cabins in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

With over 800 properties on their books, the properties are personally inspected every year by the Farm and Cottage Holidays team. In many cases, it is more than this. The information on the site is clearly well researched, not least because this family run company has been operating in the area since 1979.

There are a number of different ways to search for properties, which can be based on your individual requirements, by map or holiday ideas, where you'll find properties that are close to sandy beaches, good for walking holidays or offer facilities for young children. You can also refine your search further if you were looking for dog friendly properties. With up-to-date details on availability, the task of finding the right cottage has been made very simple.

Each property has a full page of editorial, along with high standard images. The At A Glance features give a quick overview of what's on offer, an area map, the distance to the nearest beach, shop and pub and regional information. Properties can be added to a favourites list or emailed to friends.

The company runs its own star rating system, details of which can be found in FAQs, under Accommodation Questions. Some of the properties have also been inspected by Visit Britain (English Tourist Board) and this is displayed on the property description page.

Most lets are for a full seven days but there are some shortbreaks available for three days. There are also special offers which are worth looking into.
