Look beyond the big hair and you’ll see that Ladies of London’s star Sophie Stanbury is actually a bit of a tech whizz. She has created a slick website to support her interior design company, writes a fitness, wellbeing and fashion blog SophieStanbury.me and regularly posts clips on her YouTube channel. Back to the hair, which seems to have a life of its own, so much so that she is developing her own line of hair tools and kits to be launched on QVC later this year. Here, the London-based single mother-of-two gives us an insight into buying last minute dresses online and the best video tutorials for makeup.

My favourite websites… I don’t have time to go shopping for clothes so when I need a last minute dress for a special occasion, I use Net-A-Porter. When I need to add a few key pieces into my wardrobe, I head straight to Intermix and ASOS. You can never wear the same outfit twice on TV so being able to shop and get the items delivered the next day is amazing! For interiors, I love LuxDeco and Decorpad, both are great for inspiration and for finding key pieces for a scheme. Not On The High Street is also great for virtually anything.

My favourite apps are... Amazon - Being able to click and buy is amazing. I get all my pet food, hair care, kitchen utensils, garden equipment and just about anything I need. I love the fact that when you remember you need something you can literally click and buy on the spot and it comes the next day. Uber is life changing, and being able to use the same app wherever you are in the US or Europe is amazing. Instagram, I can’t even remember what life was like before this app. I love keeping up to date on trends and most importantly what my friends and family are up to. It’s the best, but totally addictive!

My blog of choice... mybaba.com - It was set up by my great friend and has all the best tips for parents, health, outings, presents and recipes. I don’t spend a lot of time reading blogs but this one is very useful.

My most recent buy online... Cat biscuits from Amazon.

Last book I read was… ‘The Famous Five’ by Enid Blyton - I read it to my 7-year-old at bedtime and enjoyed it just as much as he did. I don’t have time to read myself as I’m always working late and then normally fall asleep in the middle of something.

My favourite tweeter… doesn’t exist - I don’t have a favourite tweeter. I can hardly keep up with twitter. I’m more of an Instagram fan although I do have a Twitter account.

Favourite Instagrammers… the Fat Jewish is hilarious and makes me LOL and I love Kelly Wearstler for decorating. I also love Like to Know it Home, Masters of Luxury, Jamie Oliver for recipes (I got all my tips for cooking my first Christmas Lunch from his Instagram!!). I follow Shopbop, Lillyghalichi for makeup tutorials, although they wear about 10 times more than me!

Social media allowed me to meet… so many people but my favourite was Dennis Quaid in his Christmas jumper. I asked for a picture with him, which I wouldn’t have done if it hadn’t been for Instagram but couldn’t resist. He was a complete darling and we ended up chatting away – such fun!

Most worthwhile newsletter… from my sons’ school - I need constant reminders of what’s happening as it’s a lot to juggle being a single mum and working on so many different things.

My standout online memory... seeing myself for the first time on the Bravo TV website - And thinking OMG here we go! Yikes, it’s going to be a ride and it sure was!

Pet hate about life online... It’s 24/7 and you can never switch it off. I have now set myself an hour when the children are in bed to look. Otherwise it’s such a distraction, but I still love it.
