Annabel Karmel is the UK’s best-selling author on baby and children’s food and nutrition. Having written 26 books, she is an expert in devising tasty and nutritious meals for children without the need for parents to spend hours in the kitchen.

A mother of three, Annabel’s books have sold over 4 million copies worldwide and 2011 marked the 20th anniversary of Annabel’s first book, The Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner, which has become the authoritative guide on feeding babies.

Recently, Annabel has been focussing on her food range, developing her popular range of chilled meals for toddlers and her co-branded healthy snacks with Disney, both of which are available in major supermarkets. She is passionate about improving the way children eat and has just released an update on her iPhone app ‘Annabel’s Essential Guide to Feeding Your Baby & Toddler’, which now features episodes of Annabel’s Kitchen, Annabel’s popular children’s cooking series which can be seen over on CiTV.

Annabel has been running her website, www.annabelkarmel.com, for five years now, a place where parents can get straightforward advice on feeding their children as well as providing lots of different recipes. Annabel greatly enjoys running the website, a thriving community where mums can ask questions and share their food and parenting ideas and tips.

ANNABEL'S FAVOURITE SITES

Rotten Tomatoes - I am a huge film fan and usually go to the cinema every couple of weeks.  For me switching off is watching a film with my kids, so if I have a spare second I love to go onto rotten tomatoes and see what everyone else is saying about a film, and find new films I would not have thought to watch.

Squires Kitchen - I love this online shop for baking goodies, it always has some of the best icing decorations and gets me thinking about what I might want to make next.  However this site is also dangerous as I get carried away about what I might need for my next cooking session and end up buying far too much!

Disney Family - I really love this American Disney website. It has so much for all the family to do with lots of recipes everyone can get involved in making to seasonal crafts.  When my kids were younger they got more into cooking whenever we had a party, I think parties are an ideal way to get your children involved making the invites and decorations, and choosing and helping with the food. This bit is as fun as the party itself and this site provides great party ideas and inspiring recipes that will be certain to get kids wanting to get their hands messy!

Annabel's Kitchen - Once I had finished filming my first TV series of Annabel’s Kitchen, I knew I wanted to create a website where children could continue the fun of the show online and play games that centred around cooking. I am a huge believer in the importance of getting your kids in the kitchen and learning to cook, and think this site is a fun aspect of this. We have also just had the brilliant news that the website has just won the best broadcasting website on the Web Marketing Association Web Awards.

Mungo & Maud - I have three dogs that I absolutely love, and am often accused of being a bit dog mad! I am afraid I do spoil them a bit, and Mungo & Maud is the perfect site for this. The website is so beautifully done and stylish, and as a lot of my friends also have dogs, it is great for finding fun and unusual presents.
